Community Connectors

Community Connectors are colleagues based in each of the ten localities of Birmingham. They sit within the Lead Voluntary Sector Organisation in each locality as part of the Locality Early Help Team.

Their main role is to train professionals in each locality so that they can connect families to community support and assets.  The aim is to enable families to get more support locally to help build the families resilience and support network.

Over two years community connectors and other early help staff will train all the professionals in schools, primary care services, heath visitors, so that 90% of plans, (early help plans, SEN plans, family plans etc.) have community support as part of the plan.
